Scene 1: Arrival at the Cabin

 

(John and Emily, weary from their long journey, pull up to the charming log cabin. The sun is setting, casting a warm glow over the property.)

 

John: Here we are, Emily. Welcome to Waldoboro and our family cabin.

Emily: It's beautiful, John! The flowers are stunning, and the sea view is breathtaking.

John: My mom has a green thumb. She’s been tending this garden for years.

(Emily walks over to the swing in the garden and sits, gently swaying as she takes in the surroundings.)

Emily: This is so relaxing. I can see why your family loves spending summers here.

John: It's been a family tradition for generations. Summers in Maine are something special.

Robert: Let's get you both settled in. Dinner will be ready soon.
